When the switch is full CCW from the knob point of view, it is off. in that position only one of the terminals will be isolated from every other terminal. It is the input from the amp meter. In D position one end of the resistor will be full voltage (or no resistance) from that input terminal. That is to be left not attached to anything. with that same test, the other end of the resistor will show about 1/2 voltage, or 4 ohms or so. That is the end attached to the main headlight wires. When it is turned to B, that same terminal should have full voltage or no resistance from the input terminal. In either D or B positions other terminals should go to instrument lights, full volts, or to the rear light. (RL) I believe the rear light gets full volts on either D or B positions. The light on the tractor shining on the tillage equipment (rearward) is switched at the light housing to red with a switch knob, it is not selected to be red at the main light switch. It could be that one of the positions only has one terminal connected. If that is the case it is possible that that is the rear light, and is for use as rear light only. (my best guess) Jim
