Interesting topic. I actually had never seen the original style coil until the Mackinaw Bridge drive/tractor show this summer. I saw a handful of them and yeah, most looked original. I like the look also and saw them for sale on OEM but had a few bad Chinese coils and was afraid these wouldn"t be as good as the original. I see them for sale for $67 on OEM in 12v, maybe it is worth a try, I keep a spare coil in the tool box anyway. Does this coil come with its own mounting bracket and mount just like the modern black coils?
