Well, I am going to the winter convention. Main reason is for the vendor's / parts peddler's. Yeah, I want to see some of the other things too, but mainly for parts and the auction. I have attended each of the last 4 winter conventions, and have been able to score parts that I have not seen locally or or ebay.
I don't need any more wheel weights, but when I was buying them, they were around $75 - $100 a set. If I needed them, I would not hesitate to plan on buying them at the convention. What has driven up the cost of wheel weights are the pullers. they want them, and if they are in the pulling business, they ususally have enough $$$ to pay that for weights.
Some people are "driven" by their wallets, and other's are driven by their "I gotta have it". Frankly, I am in the middle. I just paid $140 (with shipping) for the rear axle wrench for an F-30. IHC and part number marked. Is that too much for a wrench? You be the judge. My max bid was $150. Not sure it is worth that much, but I have been looking for 3 years for one, and was what my "play money" would allow me to bid.

How can I explain the sensation and exhilaration I feel when I turn the key and hear the engine come to life (most
