Hello, I just got my new Tach plastic gear and a new cable. I have the old style tach gear housing, with the notches for the screws. I was hoping some one could explain how to adjust it correctly.
I did notice that the actual housing is off center, and I am assuming that this is because when you rotate the housing the new plastic gear inside actually moves a little up or down from the distributor gear.
I just turned the housing until I had "finger tight" pressure and then backed it off until the notches would let me put in the screws.
Is that the correct procedure?? Or did I do it all wrong.
