I don't understand what you mean when you say "you're not lifting the full weight of the plow". When you come to the end of the row, that 16" plow is full of heavy soil (plowing 8" deep) and it's sure more than I can lift. Heck, I couldn't have lifted it when I was 18. Our soil doesn't run off the side when lifted. I just wondered if there was a way Farmall suggested doing it. The only way I can see how is to back up. But, that's real hard on the yoke-frame & tailwheel.
