Power for pound the Super C will have the cheapest power. The slant dash A's are geared high and often run out of power stock in the 4500lb class. A Super C will be good power wise in a 3000lb class stock, with the overbore you will be set for 3500lb even 4000lb class in some pits. A good 30ish hp Super C would cost you around 300 for a piston and sleeve set, 75 to get the head decked some other minor tweaking 50/75 so for about 400ish you have a decent starter puller. The A would be considerbly more have to bore out or find power block more head work etc, really the trans holds that one back.
