Watch out for broken castings. Especially the front bolster and the final drive housings. The ears on the engine block where the front bolster attaches are also a weak point and are sometimes broken. The radiator attaches to the front bolster with a flange and bolts that thread into tapped holes in the bolster. Look for leaks around that area. Cubs sell higher in some areas of the country because there are not so many of them in some areas, but remember they made over 200,000 of the things, so they are far from rare. The front mount blade is worth as much as $300 if in good condition. The tractor from $1000 to $2000 depending on the condition.
