My FIRST "guess" is you have a valve stem sticking intermitantly??? Probably on the valve that sat OPEN while its rest out in the weeds? IDK?
Get the hood off,pull the valve cover,fire it up(LOW IDLE!!!!) and take a squit can filled with trans fluid/light oil and start shooting in between the valve springs right on the stems.You might EVEN be able to SEE which valve is hanging up while it is running??
