I just had to replace the starter on my M just a couple of weeks ago...Charlie is right, if you buy a new one it is most likely made in china and I have heard that they are nothing but junk. I would suggest that you find your local auto electrical repair shop and have it rebuilt. I had mine rebuilt and converted to 12 volt, it cost me $125 which is still cheaper than buying a junk chinese starter and you will be supporting local business!!!
