If it had a cover over the exhaust it may not be that bad. If it is outside in a high rainfall area there is water in the transmission/rear end. Before you crank the engine remove the drain plug under the rear axel and drain the water off. As soon as you have oil coming out put it back in. You do not want to mix the oil and water as it will make a very big mess. (The reason I know is because I did not drain the water off and I had a mess.) You probably will want to replace the rear end oil at some point in the future.
