The entire tractor was stripped to bare metal. With a wire wheel on an angle grinder,them was primered with valspar resto primer then painted. It was painted by an auto body expert that restore classic cars been doing it for 30 yrs. He mixed paint with all valspar resto quality thinner and hardner to exact valspar specs. The tractor has 4 coats of paint applied at proper intervals. Now I am going to soda blast the entire tractor and repaint with good paint that will last. I have my opinion of valspar it ain't worth a pot of pi** and will never use it again. And I have seen quite a few tractors around my area painted with the same paint and when left in the sun turn pink in 2 years.

If impossible to place tractor under cover, be sure to cover air stack and exhaust pipe. Drain radiator and engine block. To avoid gum content collections, drain both fuel tanks and carburetor. Leave radiator and fuel caps slightly loose to protect gaskets. Block tractor up to remove weight from tires and to keep tires from contact with moist floor.
