I bought a Farmall B not running. Seems there were many reasons why it wouldn't run. Ended up acquiring a couple parts tractors along the way. Anyway, during all this, I found the mag had no spark. I shined up the points and set the gap, still nothing. I took the distributor off of one of the other tractors, installed it, and got it running. I wanted to understand that mag. Read up on it. Went to the mag seminar at the winter convention. Decided to look at the coil (which I hadn't even taken the cover off yet) and discovered....there wasn't one. Seems someone removed it, leaving a big empty space in there. I'd say odds are pretty good thats why I have no spark!
