Measured the rod on mine this afternoon and it's just under 17" c-c. I'm not sure what any adjustment would do at that point in the linkage. It may be something that is set during assembly and does not need any further adjustment. I also watched mine real close while moving the control lever, cylinder travel and cable travel. I appears when the hitch moves up, the cable follows instantly, but when the hitch goes down, there is a lag in the cable moving... this does not seem right, it should follow immediately in both directions, I would think. It's like there is slack in it, but only in the down direction.
