In 2001, the gasket, pn. 13728D retailed for $2.64. Dealer paid 55% of that amount. Today, a dealer has it listed for $6.35.

And for some more thoughts about the dealers, in '01 the book says they had to buy both the gaskets and washers in quantities of five. At that time, the gasket was listed as non-returnable to CIH. Anything less than full package quantity of five of the washers probably would not be returnable to CIH, either. I can't say if those quantities are still in place or if the gasket is still non-returnable. Even if both are true, it's still not the fault of the customer that CIH makes the dealer buy 5 of an item and makes them offer them for sale individually and potentially won't let them return parts the dealer orders. That's really between CIH and the dealer.
