They are fire crater all right, and they almost look like high alt ones. It has been quite a while since I had one of those apart but I have put in the high alt ones when the M had the low compression head. They came out after 58 some time, not factory installed. The 706 was first engine that came with a fire crater from factory as the 560's etc had the straight dome style pistons.
