It's been at least a decade since I've had one on a tractor, so I'm a bit rusty on these. I think the control rod goes to the belly pump contrlol arm, and using it in this fashion does not allow for two-way hydraulic control. You lift and lower an entire cultivator with the center quadrant just like if you were using the stock rod to the pump. If the rear gangs lift seperately from the front, you still hook the hose to the rear port coming out of the belly pump, and it isn't plumbed through this valve. You then still have the opportunity for the delayed lift of the rear section.
I think I've seen one on a SMTA, which would have had live hudraulics. How it was plumbed, I can't recall.
