Drain the tank. Count out 100 assorted nuts and bolts. Put them in the tank with 1 gallon of diesel fuel. Reinstall gas cap. Hook up a temporary tank (safely, of course) to your tractor. Strap the gas tank to the wheel. Jack up said wheel until it is 2" off the ground. Set the axle on sturdy blocks so the tire is well off the ground. Start the tractor. Idle in 1st gear for an hour or so. Stop tractor. Empty the tank. Rinse with a gallon of fresh diesel. Live happily ever after.
