After stopping the engine the gas level in the tube came back up. Does that say anything about whether the float and needle are working right? Anyway it looks like my next step is to take off the bottom of the carburetor and have a look, and check the outlet of the tank as well. I wonder if I should order in the parts manual to get a good diagram of the carb before taking anything apart. I would like to get a better understanding of how a carburetor works in detail. Can anyone suggest a book or web site? Thanks a lot for the suggestions.
