Hey thanks for the follow-ups everyone...definitely a mouse nest! The more I dug out and found it smelled just like mice. I was up in the shed more tonight and took the inspection covers/holes out and took a screwdriver and got more out and then blew it out good with air. So was darn glad I decided to drop the oil pan, which thus led me to find this.
Maybe someone can help me with this one, since I already have a topic started. But I pulled the cotter pin and got the oil pump screener that sits in the oil pan off tonight too. There looks to be four clips that hold it on, do you just carefully pry them back/off to get to the screen to blow it out? Or is there another trick to it without ruining it.
