JMHO and I am perfectly content with the decisions I've made so to each their own... But, I have always been of the "do it once" mindset and thus have invested the money to get a good quality tire. Everything I own has Firestone Road & Field on it except one M which has Armstrong rear rubber which came on it and I stuck Goodyear on the front. Everything I have is between 5 and 15 years old and other than dirty, look about like the day I put them on. I use them too and stuff doesn't always sit in the barn... No checks of the sidewall or deterioration of the lug.
The price these days will make one choke but would you rather buy cheap tires twice or good tires once? If it is a parade tractor it is probably a moot point but if you are going to farm with it you may want to think long and hard.
