The torque on those bolts is not all that much and can easily be over tightened, which is probably what has happened to yours. I have never seen one break but of course they no doubt could. I'm thinking 55 ft lbs but don't have my books near me at the moment. Might be 60. One of the first things I found out when I worked for John Deere dealer for a few years was that they pretty much always replace flywheel bolts and I did see a couple Deere's break them all off.
