Re, air pump that went in place of a spark plug. We had one back in late 5os and the valve part that screwed into the spark plug hole had a one way valve that would open on the intake stroke so most of the air sucked into the cylinder was gas free. We used it on our JD 420 as the 2 cyl had a larger displacement per cyl.
