I need to know alittle more, what have you tried for setup to reduce the damage to the straw.
With keystock grates and large wire concaves our 1440 did alright once we changed the notched separator bars for plain ones.
This was in oats, and the 1440 did not have the straw chopper, biggest trick was not to blow the oats right out the back we had just gotten the Crossflow fan installed.
If we do oats now I'll build some solid separator grates.
