Like before, if the 404 has "factory" power steering, the one with the two cylinders on the steering arm under the front bolster, go for it. If it has a torque generator instead of the factory cylinder type, you could have front end problems with the weak bolster internals and the steering arm. What kind of loader does it have? The Wagner-IH 120 loader is a "pipe frame" and although it's fairly heavy for a pipe loader, there are better more modern ones out there.
If everything is good mechanically on the 404, it will be better for your purposes.
BTW, I don't believe the 404 has live pto... it's basically the last in the series of C-CS-200-230-240 and none of them had live power, but do have live hydraulics.
