noise could be coming from the left wheel bull gear and pinion, as it wears it makes gear whine worse especially in 4th,left side usually wears more than the right due to to weight it carries,after replacing all the loose bearings and worn out seals in mine it still whined and the gears seem to clash excessively when shifting from neutral into any gear so i added 3 cans of stp oil treatment to the transmission that solve the harsh gear clash and quieten the transmission,left side still whines some at high speed but not enough to worry about
