Andy, your hitch leak is probably the O-rings on the draft sensing torsion mechanism. I just replaced them on my 706 (one of several pre-paint job leak fixes.) In a nutshell, you will need to unhook the hitch linkage from the bellcranks, and drain the trans and rear end (about 15 gallons.) You will then need to remove the inspection cover above the pto, then drop the pto unit (~200lb, be careful with the pick-up tube.) This lets you unhook the control linkage from the torsion tube. Remove the 2 small bolts and retainer bracket on the LH side, and the LH bellcrank should come off. There's one small and one large O-ring on that side. You can then slide the RH bellcrank/torsion tube out and replace the one large O-ring on that side. It all goes back together in reverse order. You might want some help removing and re-installing the pto unit, it's not easy for one person.
