As Allan indicates any oil (other than a Zero-30 or some such) is fine. 10-30, 15-40, or any straight weight oil up to 40 wt is OK. I would use a squirt oilcan and fill the gallery with oil through the fitting threads for the gauge. Pump till it starts to feel resistance to pumping. (might take 4 oil cans full. Run it at a variety of speeds for the first 10 hours, never making full power. Then for 10 hours operate it as above including some full power. Change the oil and filter, then run it like it will always be operated. Jim
