Several places to leak inside pump. It may be as simple as the seal on the primary pump shaft or as complex as the delivery valve tappets which would require a pretty much complete tear down of the pump. Lots of pumps over the years leaked. Some a little , some a lot. Lots of guys drained them, refilled with oil and if it didn't leak too bad , just changed it often. You could try turning the fuel off when parked for more than a few hours.
