the problem with not being able to get reverse is that your shift linkage is woren enough with the way it was made and the geomitery every thing must be tight .try replacing all the headed pins first also adjust the clutch ,trans brake ,and the dump valve .if that does not help then you must go deeper into it .you will have to pull the range cover and the side cover off the shifter rod that moves the rev. shift fork's key way is woren and should be replaced check the shift fork for wear ,i just finished a806 with the same problem but that one went a lot feather the shift fork had broken off and got into the constant mash gear and knocked a tooth off .also check the top cover where the rev.piviot arm comes throug the top cover for wear i have a machine shop rebush them for me for about 50 bucks any feather problems get a hold of me i will try to help
