Ive got an 806LP and the ONLY difference in the engine between it and a gasser are the pistons and valves. higher compression to burn the LP better, and little tougher valves since LP burns hotter too.
I dont try and over do it with the ole girl, but she can hold her own. The big downfall to it as TractorVet pointed out is they are a thirsty critter. However, I fill directly out of a 500 gallon tank and i filled it last summer for 1.69 a gallon, so that sure beats the crap out of a straight gasser!!
