The 3/4 line would be a good thing also for the return. Your problem is like other post said you do have some air trapped and working the system will work out after working the system for some time will sooner of later remove itself but you doo need larger lines to and from pump the control and resivour. Take the fill cap off the res to allow air to be able to bleed out of the system.
