#1 check gasket on Lid! #2 check gasket on Drum! These 2 items will wither make or break your air volume. Put graphite around the drum gasket. Check all grease bushing and drive shafts, the drum is driven off of the gauge wheels it should turn smoothy. It it is jerking there is a reason! Make sure the 2 guage wheels are the same, Make, Size, Pressure, EQUAL in all respects, Check drive chains!! The PTO runs the pump, the gauge wheels run the drum, 2 different systems and drive sources. If the gaskets, and seals are good then the pump us the problem or possibly the oil level. If the drum is jerking, odd tire, size, pressures. Or dry bearings, bent shafts, Drive chains have sticky spots!!!! it doesn't flow around the sprockets uniformly!!!!! This can be easily over looked!! Hope this helps! Later, John A.
