D Slater, The 4-F43 & the 4-FTC43 are the same plow, just different designation of tractors to be used with plow. On the 4-F43, the 4 means it is meant for the Farmall 400 (current new tractor when plow was made), the "F" meant it was a fast hitch plow and the "43" was model #. A few years later, when the 450 came out with traction control fast hitch, IH changed the designation of the same plow to 4-FTC43. The "4" at that point meant for the Farmall 400 & 450. The "F" still meant fast hitch, the "TC" meant for traction control and the model was still #43. More than you probably wanted to know about early fast hitch model #`s......
