That sure sounds like an issue with choke but on the other hand 10 minutes seems like a long time to smooth out. You did not say if you were using it or not but have to agree that this is the first place I would look. Be sure to follow the linkage down to the carb and make sure you are actually operating the choke when you pull the rod. Cub packs a lot of stuff into a very small space and things can conflict. Pull the air intake and operate the choke and make sure the butterfly is moving properly. From recent personal experience and HTH...Dave
