The worst is when you can't tell them what kind of car/truck it is - there's no way to hide that you're looking for a TRACTOR part.
9 times out of 10, Once you make that fatal mistake, you're INSTANTLY shutdown with an "Oh, we don't sell tractor parts". And all interest in assisting any further goes right out the window.
Tell them it's a "1940 something" tractor and if there was any interest in helping you - that'll get it thrown out the window.
Don't get me wrong, I've got a lot of respect for MOST of the guys behind the counter, they're a great resource when I'm doing work on a car or truck - but, at least in these parts, tractors are just such a rarity that most people have never even seen one in person.
They're like alien spaceships - and even very reasonable, smart people assume the parts couldn't possibly be interchangeable with auto parts.
So - not KNOCKING them - just stating the fact that unless you know exactly the part number of what you need, you just can't walk into a napa around here and hope to walk out with a tractor part!
We sell tractor parts! We have the parts you need to repair your tractor - the right parts. Our low prices and years of research make us your best choice when you need parts. Shop Online Today. [ About Us ]
