Colby, since it has been quite some time since the carburetor was rebuilt, do me a favor and give it a quick test before you install it. Hold the carburetor in the upright position, put your mouth on the brass fuel inlet fitting and blow. You should notice only a slight resistance. Now turn the carburetor upside down and blow into the fitting again. If the float and float valve are working correctly, you should NOT be able to blow into that fitting. Needle valves have a tendency to stick, especially after setting for this long. I took some precautions to ensure it would not happen, but it would be better to know BEFORE the frustrations begin.
A good, sharp smack or two with your hand on the side of the carb bowl should cure any problems.
