If you can get to the unit, check the motor number on the engine stamped on a flat just above the distributor and behind the governor on the right front of the engine. It should read FA ***** or FB ***** with the * being numbers. I would almost bet the front is an A and the serial number will be the FA type. All one would have to do to convert the A to a wide format is to add a left long rear axel from a B and extend the front axel on the A. Also look at the center cast of the wheel on the right rear side. If it is heaver than the left it is from an A.
All this to say that the decals may say B but you may be looking at an A. If you wish to restore it to an A setup it will not be too hard, but don't give more than $400 for it as it is, that is if it is running. If not running give no more than scrap price.
