Mark, I had this issue with a belt that was the wrong size. Regular is smaller than F-20 belt by about 2" also differernt part #. I do have the # written down somewhere. I think 44 1/2" or 46 3/4". As for the leather on your crank pully could it be the pully is cracked or chipped and they put leather around it to hold it together? Should not be there. oldiron29
