You need to answer a few questions first, but to yourself only. These are: 1. Is the crack structural. . . was it caused by wear and tear, overheating, or was it caused by freezing? If it was wear and tear or overheating get another block. 2. If improperly repaired will it cause problems in the future? Any adhesive or chemical weld will tend to break down over time. If the crack is not between oil and coolant or the outside it may not be that critical. If it is then you need to make sure it is sealed by welding or brazing. If it can't be welded or brazed get another block. 3. If in doubt, get another block.
