I'm only a little lighter than you and I'm sure a good spring would take care of the problem. There were a lot of aftermarket seats back in the day, so finding one on an H that's being parted out shouldn't be hard. Most guys will want to take it back original, so don't throw away your original seat. You can't dis-assemble a temp gauge, so your only option would be to find a correct bushing to make the cub gauge fit. Or buy a correct gauge for your H.
