When you hit the bump your knee hit the push button starter switch, not likely but anything is possible. Anyway, like someone else said, check to see if wire from starter switch to solenoid is live when you hook up battery and go from there. When my Dad got the 45 H, first day in the field he made a turn on end of field and tractor dies. Would not restart, walked home, called dealer who told him to go back out and pull ign switch which you hit when you stepped on the brake. Fixed.
