I'm putting wide front on a Super C and decided it was time to see why the steering gear wouldn't hold any oil. It looks like the problem was that two of the bolts that hold the guts ( worm gear shaft, etc.) in the steering gear had fallen out.
I have a new seal, but the gaskets have been chopped to pieces, and I don't have enough gasket material to make them.
What do you think, cut up a cereal box or just RTV it and call it good ?
