All those parts will mix and match so I wouldn't make a judgement without seeing it in person. All the governor shafts are the same length. Your magneto matching problem could be solved by changing the front coupler half that is keyed on the shaft. There are two lengths of that coupler. The early mags up to about 1934 used the short coupler as they had a longer impulse drive. (this same short coupler was also used with the E4 mag on the Regular)
