Not made to be shifted on the go, but.... with some practice, experience, and good timing, it can be done. Some tractors are a little easier than others. I can shift my M from 4th to 5th smoothly, but not the other way. My SM will up-shift smoothly from 2 to 3, 3 to 4, 4 to 5, and sometimes 5 to 4.
