Probably not the best method in the world but my grandpa is a retired mechanic and there was or still is a telephone pole outside of his shop that was short and looked like it had been through 10 wars. I asked him one day why it is there and he said when people had a stuck clutch and not very much money he would either hook a chain to it and the tractor or put the nose of the tractor on it and let her rip he said it never failed to work. I just wonder how many tractors were running around with crushed grills haha.
