Andy are you still looking for a planter I don't know about your area but hear in Kansas, there are still quite a few older plate type planters sitting around was it just the 2 rows that bothered you or was it the operation of the planter. I run a 6 row buffalo notil plate planter and it is dead simple to operate its only downside is having to buy the plates because the seed man never seems to get the size of seed you had last year. if you can find one you think is in good shape i would recomend on of those for the tractor you have because they are ground driven instead of needing a pto hydro pump. I don't know but i think in a pull type configuration they may be liter and easier to pick up than an ih air planter but maybe not
