When IH started making the IPTO there is a shaft within a hollow shaft. One is splined to the pressure plate, the other to the disk. If you installed the disk and bolted the pressure plate to the flywheel before putting the tractor back together it is quite possible that you bent the clutch plate (don't ask me how I know, but the answer is obvious). Best to leave the plate loose and tighten the pressure plate after you put the front and rear together.
