Trans hydraulic oil, how do I check levels on Farmall 230

I have a late model 230 with a pipe frame loader and a maintenance book which is next to useless, (IT manual). For the life of me I can't find the oil check plug for the tranny or the hydraulic system. Is the hydraulic system part of the trans using the same oil. Could someone tell me the locations of these and the appropraite oil to use. Thanx
