I thought there were two different approaches.
One from Messick and then the second from Case IH. It used to be it led to the same point but looking from the link offered here ... was an entirely different layout.
I'm not sure what to believe right now. Since you have mentioned it you may be onto something. A migration pattern over to a new layout or something.
In many cases the website was a better resource than a combination of 5 different paper manuals.
We'll see what plays out I guess.
