The 300LP is one I rescued around a year ago from indifferent owner. The hired help had been shredding and "the transmission started making noise". It had been sitting since (year or two) and going downhill.
I found it starts and runs good but does make a terrible racket from the middle and found a missing tooth or two on the bottom gear of the PTO drive. I imagine it didn't do the top gear any good either. I suspect the help "found" something hidden in the grass.
The whole tractor is surprisingly straight and complete. I found a FH a few miles away that will fit on it and make it a really nice machine.
I don't have it all apart so I don't know yet if there are any other wounded parts. The plain 300 is available at scrap price so my thinking was parts tractor but if it doesn't have the right stuff then that won't help.
If you have parts available I would certainly be interested. I appreciate the offer for help.
